Dear dear asked me to accompany him to attend one exhibition with him - ART Exhibition! The artist name Xu Beihong(徐悲鴻) - anyone know/heard about him? I myself - Ding Dong -> No idea :p
This art exhibition was organized by Singapore Art Museum and Xu Beihong Beijing Art Museum. His artworks created in 1930s and early 1940s.
Introduction of Xu Beihong(徐悲鴻):
He's recognized as the founder of China's art education in the tradition and the dather of Chinese modern painting. He had an immense influence on the development of Chinese painting in the 20th century. As 1 of the 1st Chinese painters to study in West, Xu became a master of both the art of traditional ink painting and western oil painting. He spent several years in SEA and India between 1939-1941. Besides painting, he also participated in many social activities. He developed close relationships with personalities like R.Tagore, M.Gandhi, Sir Thomas Shenton and Lim Bo Seng - and painted compelling portraits of these individuals.
The exhibition will explore Xu's journey in SEA and India and the interactions that went on between artist and the local communities how each left an indelible mark on the other and how these helped propelled Xu Beihong's artistic achievement to greater heights.
由新加坡美术馆及中国徐悲鸿纪念馆联办， 《徐悲鸿在南洋》将呈现徐悲鸿在1930至1940年代旅居东南亚及印度期间所创作的作品。徐悲鸿被称为写实主义艺术教育的开拓者、中国现代美术之父，对 二十世纪早期的中国美术有着深远影响。作为最早留学西方的中国画家之一，徐悲鸿游刃于中国传统水墨与西方油画之间。
1939至1941年，徐悲鸿在东南亚及印度生活了好几年。作画之余，他也积极参与社区活动，同不少著名人物成为莫 逆之交，为泰戈尔、甘地、汤姆斯•珊顿爵士、林谋盛等创作了难得的肖像作品。展览将探究徐悲鸿的东南亚与印度之旅，及艺术家与当地社群之间的关系。他们在 彼此的生命里留下了什么样的印迹，而这一切又如何协助徐悲鸿将其艺术的发展推向高峰。

I will accompany dear dear to the exhibition, he has been nagging to visit exhibition since last time. Although I have no idea who is him :p But base from his art work, quite Chinese Traditional Artistic. LOL~~ Sound very literacy eh! Let's see ......
